99 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the assistance, if any, his Department or the South-Eastern Health Board will give to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny in relation to her daughter who requires ongoing medical attention in Dublin; and if the full costs of her travel will be met. The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Kilkenny in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the South-Eastern Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
