Ceist:71 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the reasons for the delay in payment of forest premium to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14294/99]
The person in question applied for farmers rate of premium. He did not provide the necessary documentation to prove his qualification for the farmers rate.
On 7 May 1999 he informed my Department that he wished to be paid at non-farmer rate, following which an instruction to pay issued to the accounts branch of my Department.
Payment issued on 31 May 1999.

The person in question did not provide the necessary documentation to show that he qualified for the farmers rate of premium. On 7 May, 1999 he informed my Department that he wished to be paid at the non-farmers rate.
Payment of premium, at non-farmer rate, was made on 31 May, 1999.
