28 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the 38 projects under the cultural development incentive scheme; the amount of the grant involved in each case; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [14662/99]
The cultural development incentive scheme, CDIS, is a part of the Operational Programme for Tourism and is the responsibility of my Department. The CDIS is primarily designed to assist the four main categories of the visual and performing arts – arts centres, theatres, galleries and museums. Thirty eight projects have been offered funding under the scheme with a total grant aid of £19.766 million. The information required by the Deputy on the 38 projects and the amount of the grant in each case is in the form of the following tabular statement.
