304 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will appoint a resource teacher for children of the travelling community on a shared basis between St. Michael's junior national school and St. Michael's senior national school, Cootehill, County Cavan; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has recently received an application from the schools in question seeking the appointment of a resource teacher to cater for traveller children attending the schools. The case put forward by the schools is currently being examined by my Department's inspectorate. The schools will be advised of the outcome as soon as possible.
