Ceist:355 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his attention has been drawn to the difficulties a person (details supplied) in County Sligo has encountered in connection with the control of farmyard pollution grant; if a favourable decision will be made in view of the circumstances; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department's Sligo office has no record of receiving an application from the person named above under the control of farm pollution scheme 1994-9 or under the new national scheme for the control of farm pollution. It is a strict condition of the new scheme that prior written approval of my Department must be obtained before commencement of development work.
