As the House is aware, I have been working to secure support under the INTERREG community initiative for the funding of an extension to the National Fisheries Training Centre in Greencastle, County Donegal. I am pleased to inform the House that funding of £750,000 has now been provided under the fisheries measures of the 1994-99 INTERREG initiative. The investment will finance the construction of additional classrooms and facilities to address the substantial shortage of places for trainees at the training centre.
