The provision of orthodontic treatment to eligible persons in the North-Western Health Board area and the maintenance of orthodontic waiting lists are the statutory responsibility of the North-Western Health Board. Orthodontic treatment is carried out in two centres in the North-Western Health Board area, Letterkenny general hospital and Sligo general hospital. I have had inquiries made of the North-Western Health Board. I understand that the 1,843 children on the orthodontic waiting list referred to by the Deputy relates to the number of children up to age 18 in Letterkenny general hospital and up to age 14 in Sligo general hospital.
