83 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the proposals, if any, he has to extend the scheme of compensation for criminal injury to cover damage to property and damages for pain and suffering. [19564/99]

The scheme of compensation for personal injuries criminally inflicted is under review in my Department. The review, which will be comprehensive, will include, inter alia, the matters referred to by the Deputy.
