22 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for Education and Science the process, if any, in place to assess, and to act upon them where appropriate, the recommendations of the Joint Committee on Education and Science; and the number of progress reviews which he has received in relation to the committee's four reports to date. I would like to assure the Deputy that the reports of the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Education and Science are considered carefully by officials in my Department and the recommendations are taken into account, where possible, in the development of policy in the areas concerned.
