Ceist:87 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason for the delay in publishing the Youth Work (Amendment) Bill; when the Bill will be published; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19992/99]

It had been intended that the Youth Work Bill would be published in late 1999. However as outlined in Dáil Éireann on 27 September 1999, it has become necessary, because of the Government's legislative programme and priorities, to defer the publication of the Bill until early 2000. The Deputy will appreciate the need for the Government's legislative programme to be reviewed in the light of changing needs and circumstances.
