Vol. 509 No. 4

Written Answers. - Courts Service.

Mary Coughlan

Ceist:

318 Ms Coughlan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if consideration will be given to the re-instatement of the District Court to Killybegs, County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20632/99]

My Department has been in consultation with Donegal County Council and the district court judge assigned to the Killybegs area regarding the future location of court sittings there. More recently, Donegal County Council has been asked to look for a suitable site in the area for a small purpose built courthouse.

As soon as those consultations have been concluded and all the necessary information is available a final decision will be taken on this matter.
