329 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the names, titles and duties of all personal or special advisers and secretaries employed by him since July 1997; and the salary, expenses and other payments made to each since their appointments. [20670/99]

The duties of the posts to which I have appointed staff are as follows: special adviser, assisting me by providing advice and monitoring, facilitating and securing the achievement of Government objectives that relate to my Department; personal assistant, managing my constituency office in the Department; personal secretary, managing my constituency office in Letterkenny; press and information officer, providing ongoing information services to the public including the preparation and issue of press releases, responding to queries from the press and general public and other media related activities as required by me, the Minister of State and the Department; policy adviser, providing policy advice to me on matters relating to the activities of my Department.
