359 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will approve funding for the provision of a classroom assistant at St. Attracta's national school, Ballaghaderreen, County Roscommon; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20623/99]
I am pleased to inform the Deputy that my Department has given approval for funding of a part-time special needs assistant to the school in question.
360 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Education and Science the plans, if any, he has to provide additional resources for a remedial service for St. Attracta's national school, Ballaghaderreen, County Roscommon; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20624/99]
I am pleased to inform the Deputy that St. Attracta's national school, Ballghaderreen, County Roscommon, has sanction for a full-time remedial and a full-time resource teacher post.
The school in question has not made an application to my Department for additional resources for a remedial service. I have no plans at present to provide additional resources for a remedial service to the school.
