Vol. 509 No. 6

Written Answers. - Northern Ireland Issues.

Cecilia Keaveney

Ceist:

87 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the number of unsolved murders in Northern Ireland from 1990 to date; the names of these cases; the current status of the investigations; the representations, if any, he has made in respect of these to the relevant authorities; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21593/99]

The question posed by Deputy Keaveney has been raised with the British authorities through the framework of the Anglo-Irish Intergovernmental Conference. They have indicated that, in the time available, it would be difficult to provide an comprehensive reply. As soon as this is received, I will be in immediate contact with the Deputy.
