307 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the country road mileage nationwide; and the expenditure on its upkeep for each of the past three years. [22615/99]

There are 90,303 kilometres of non-national road in Ireland. The expenditure on non-national roads in 1997, 1998 and 1999 is shown in the following table and includes maintenance and improvement and works.
