314 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if the urban and village renewal schemes, under the Operational Programme for Local and Rural Development, will continue and be financed beyond the end of 1999; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22625/99]

The Government's policies in relation to the continuation and financing of a new urban and village renewal programme will be set out in the National Development Plan 2000-06 which will be published shortly.
