413 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason for the delay in granting special educational aids for a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; if there will be no further delay; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22687/99]

My Department has referred this case to the psychological service for report and recommendation.

As soon as the report has been received and considered, my Department will notify the school authorities and the Deputy of the decision.
