I have provided an additional £265,000 this year for the re-opening of beds in the refurbished medical ward at Mallow General Hospital. The exact details regarding the reopening of these beds is a matter for the Southern Health Board. I understand that the board expects to be in a position to reopen the new medical ward early in the new year.
