149 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government his views on the absolute and immediate necessity for the construction of the Fermoy by-pass in County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23857/99]
The proposed Fermoy by-pass will form part of the national road improvement programme and information in relation to it may be appropriately sought from the National Roads Authority, who have overall responsibility, under section 17 of the Roads Act 1993 for the planning and supervision of works for the construction and maintenance of national roads.
