Statistics on employment and unemployment are calculated at regional level from the quarterly national household survey. The latest results available are for quarter two of 1999. Statistics on the unemployment rate, namely the number of unemployed expressed as a percentage of the total labour force, in each NUTS-3 region in quarter two of 1999 are set out in the table below. Corresponding statistics are not available at county level.
