269 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will be paid a full special beef premium and suckler cow premium entitlements in view of the fact that the forage area has now been registered to the correct herd number; when these payments will be issued; and if payment will be expedited. [1309/00]
The person named submitted his 1999 area aid application under an incorrect herd number and this delayed the processing of his application. The application has now been registered under his correct herd number.
The person named applied for premium on 43 cows under the 1999 suckler cow premium scheme on 2 June 1999. Full payment on the 43 cows under the suckler cow premium scheme will issue shortly.
With regard to the 1999 special beef premium the person named made the following applications: Six animals on 28 January 1999; two animals on 10 March 1999; one animal on 20 April 1999; two animals on 16 May 1999, and 30 animals on 30 November 1999.
Payment in respect of the first four applications will issue shortly.
The application for the 30 animals is still inside the retention period and being processed. When the retention period has expired and all checks are completed payment of entitlement under the claim will issue.
