Vol. 513 No. 1

Written Answers. - Tax Rebates.

Ivan Yates

Ceist:

345 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Finance if a tax rebate is due to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 for her PAYE allowance for the early part of the 1999-2000 tax year. [1261/00]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that, according to the information available to the inspector of taxes, the taxpayer is not due a tax rebate. The taxpayer has a tax-free allowance of £572 in the current tax year. A certificate of tax-free allowances issued to her accordingly on 10 May 1999. The allowance consists of a PAYE allowance of £522, that is, £1,000 standard rated, and an allowance of £50 for expenses.
