250 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if an application for a medical card will be reviewed for a person (details supplied) in County Carlow; and if an application under the drugs refund scheme will be expedited if the medical card is not an option. [2979/00]
I have asked the South Eastern Health Board to review the relevant application for a medical card and the board will contact the person concerned in this context. The issue of the relevancy of the drugs payments scheme, if appropriate, will also be considered and the person informed accordingly on how to make an application, if required.
