263 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the cost of the proposed new water scheme for Athenry, County Galway; the timescale for the approval, sanction and starting date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4223/00]
Contract documents for an extension of the Tuam regional water supply scheme to Athenry, at an estimated cost of £6.2 million, were received in my Department last September. Further consideration of the documents must await the receipt of a certificate of completion of planning from the county council.
