Vol. 514 No. 4

Written Answers. - Neurological Services.

Tony Killeen

Ceist:

138 Mr. Killeen asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of people with acquired brain injury; the services available nationally and in each of the health board areas; and the plans, if any, he has for further development of these services. [4442/00]

The information requested by the Deputy encompasses a vast range of different specialised services, including neurology, neurosurgery and rehabilitation which are widely available at primary, secondary and tertiary care levels for persons with acquired brain injury.

Given the complexities of the different types of services involved, I would appreciate if the Deputy would be more specific, at which point I will gladly respond to the issues concerned.
