Ceist:186 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Education and Science the position in relation to the early school leaving pilot initiative in Inishowen, County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4439/00]
Written Answers. - Early School Leavers.
As the Deputy will be aware post-primary schools in Inishowen were selected for inclusion in the first phase of the stay in school initiative. These schools submitted retention plans to my Department in December 1999 and following this they were advised of the funding which will be provided to them.
The first tranche of funds for schools in this initiative was issued by my Department in mid-January 2000.
