122 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a person (details supplied) in County Galway is not entitled to 1999 headage grants in view of the fact he was under doctor's care and was unable to apply for headage; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5532/00]

Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (Mr. Walsh):

In view of the medical circumstances of the person named I have arranged for an application form under the 1999 cattle headage scheme to issue to him.

The person named was paid his full entitlement of £30 under the 1999 sheep headage scheme on 18 October 1999 and the sheep headage top-up of £6 was paid to him on 8 December 1999.
