Written Answers. - State Directory.
Section 15(4) of the Freedom of Information Act obliges public bodies to publish a range of information about themselves and their activities including their structures, rules and practices and any precedents maintained for the purposes of decision making. The new State directory will incorporate a summary of these individual publications by public bodies as well as the material previously provided in past editions of the publication. Work is currently ongoing on the publication and is now at an advanced stage. Barring any unforeseen difficulties I would anticipate that the revised State directory will be available from the Government Publications Office before the summer.
