202 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands if her attention has been drawn to concerns that an Údarás na Gaeltachta grant aided company (details supplied) in County Donegal has been refusing to employ boners from the local area in spite of the availability of qualified applicants and in view of the importance of promoting employment in gaeltacht areas and if she will make a statement on the matter. I refer the Deputy to my reply to question No. 123 of 4 November 1999. As I stated in that reply the matter is one for Údarás na Gaeltachta which I understand is continuing in contact with representatives of the company with a view to coming to an agreement on employment and other matters incorporating a plan which will satisfy the aims of an túdarás as well as the needs of the company.
