194 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of persons in receipt of subvention at 1 January 2000 in each of the health board areas; the number in each health board in the medium, high and maximum dependency levels; and the expenditure for each health board or private nursing home subvention. 196 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Health and Children the health boards which are implementing category four in accordance with nursing home regulations; the boards which do not pay out subvention in category four cases; the reason in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I propose to take Questions Nos. 194 and 196 together.
The number of persons in receipt of subvention at 1 January 2000 in each health board area is not yet available to my Department. However, numbers for the quarter ended September 1999 are being verified by my Department and the details as requested by the Deputy will be provided at the earliest opportunity.
