Vol. 515 No. 4

Written Answers. - Maternity Hospitals.

Bernard Allen

Ceist:

119 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will make a statement on a situation where Dublin's main maternity hospitals are being forced to accept an increasing number of medical students each year which they fear will have a negative impact on patients privacy. [6434/00]

I understand the joint steering committee of the three Dublin maternity hospitals will seek discussions with the medical schools to raise some concerns regarding an increase in the number of medical students in maternity hospitals. I hope this matter can be satisfactorily resolved in discussion with the relevant universities involved.
