Ceist:153 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of road accident deaths and injuries in County Louth in 1998 and 1999; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6358/00]
Written Answers. - Road Accidents.
I am informed by the Garda authorities that detailed statistics in relation to the number of death and injuries on Irish roads are provided by the National Roads Authority, St. Martin's House, Waterloo Road, Dublin 4.
Details in relation to all road accidents reported to the Garda authorities are supplied by the Garda to the National Roads Authority, and a detailed report on road accidents entitled Road Accident Facts is prepared and published by that authority. The most recent report is in respect of 1998.
