Vol. 516 No. 5

Written Answers. - Dairy Hygiene Scheme.

Dan Neville

Ceist:

184 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if the completion time for carrying out works under the dairy hygiene scheme will be extended for a person (details supplied) in County Limerick in view of the fact it transpired that title to the place was not registered in a person's name and it has been occupied by her family for many years. [8603/00]

An extension of the time limit for carrying out works under the Operational Programme 1994-99 dairy hygiene scheme for the person named has already been granted until 30 April 2000.

Recognising that some farmers may still have difficulty in completing investment works under the Operational Programme 1994-99 control of farm pollution and dairy hygiene schemes, as a special measure, I have recently further extended the completion date and this is now 30 June 2000. The extension will give scope to enable the person named to finish the dairy hygiene scheme investment works.
