200 Mr. Lawlor asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will liaise with the area health boards in the matter of providing long-term financial assistance for a special category of children and their parents in partnership with the charitable foundation (details supplied) established to bring aid and comfort to those affected. As outlined in the correspondence which the Deputy submitted, officials from my Department recently met with representatives of the chari table foundation in question. A further meeting is to take place shortly to provide more detailed information which will enable my officials to follow up the issues which are of concern to the foundation with the relevant health boards.
