114 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the position in regard to each of the inquiries being carried out by or on behalf of her Department; the progress made in respect of each inquiry since 9 February 2000; the inquiries in respect of which reports have been referred to the Director of Public Prosecutions; and if she will make a statement on the matter. While progress continues to be made on the company law investigations being undertaken by or on behalf of the Department, there have been no significant developments since I last reported to the House on 9 February 2000, Official Report, columns 217 and 218. As anticipated in my reply to Deputy Gilmore at that time, my Department has however since forwarded to the Flood Tribunal a copy of the report of Mr. Gerard Ryan into Ansbacher (Cayman) Limited, pursuant to section 21, as amended, of the Companies Act, 1990.
The company investigation reports which are with the Director of Public Prosecutions are those on Bula Resources (Holdings) plc, Garuda Limited, and National Irish Bank Financial Services Limited. I have no information on the intentions of the DPP with respect to any of these reports.
