302 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will investigate the delay in payment to those in receipt of financial support for transport from their homes to medical centres within the South-Eastern Health Board area and, in particular, the case of a person (details supplied) in County Carlow who must travel by car from her home to the Delta Centre, Carlow, and requires her payments to be brought up to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Payment of financial supports of the kind mentioned by the Deputy is a matter for the relevant health board. Accordingly, I have referred the Deputy's question to the chief executive officer, South-Eastern Health Board with a request that he examine the query and issue a direct reply to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
