391 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Education and Science the decision in respect of the request to the special education section of his Department for the provision of a full-time remedial maths teacher for a school (details supplied) in Dublin 24 in view of the supportive statistics furnished by the school; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The school to which the Deputy refers already has two full-time remedial teachers. On the basis of the school's enrolment of 380 pupils on 30 September 1999 and having regard to the recommendations of the Special Education Review Committee in relation to remedial teacher coverage, it is considered that the school currently has an adequate level of remedial coverage.
