141 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will ensure that a person (details supplied) in County Sligo is called for her cathartic surgery in view of the fact her condition has dramatically deteriorated and the length of time she is on the waiting list; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Sligo is the statutory responsibility of the North-Western Health Board in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
