198 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Education and Science if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 624 of 21 March 2000, the details of the sale of Carysfort College were available; if it is usual practice for the Department not to have or keep these details; if he has received a request from the Moriarty tribunal for details of the sale; and, if so, his response in this regard. The sale of Carysfort College in October 1989 and the subsequent sale in June 1990 were private sales and, as such, my Department has no details of the sale arrangements other than as mentioned in my earlier reply to the Deputy on 21 March 2000. The position in relation to the Moriarty tribunal is that, in August 1999, my Department provided the tribunal with the papers held relating to the closure and subsequent purchase of Carysfort College by University College Dublin.
