85 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the plans, if any, she has for the establishment of a public transport partnership forum as promised in the Programme for Prosperity and Fairness; and the form of representation for both consumer interests and private sector providers of public transport on this forum. Following the strong endorsement of the Programme for Prosperity and Fairness by the partnership pillars last week, the way is now clear to establish the public transport partnership forum.
At the end of last week, my Department was in informal contact with the partnership pillars about the nomination of participants in the forum. My Department will shortly issue formal invitations seeking nominations to the forum and a meeting will be convened as soon as those nominations have been received.
