140 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Education and Science the steps, if any, he will take to appoint a remedial teacher to Ballynacargy, Sonna, Miltown, and Empor schools in County Westmeath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9441/00]
The schools referred to by the Deputy are part of a group of five schools which have been allocated a remedial teacher post on a shared basis by my Department. Scoil Phadraig, Miltown is the base school for the post in question.
The appointment of a teacher to the post in question is a matter for the board of management of the base school.
