Ceist:256 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will ensure the retention of a resident Garda Síochána presence at Ballyragget, County Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9628/00]
Written Answers. - Garda Stations.
The Garda authorities, which are responsible for the detailed allocation of Garda personnel and resources to individual areas, have informed me that it is intended that a resident Garda Síochána presence will continue to be maintained in Ballyragget. I have also been informed, in this regard, that a suitable replacement has been identified to fill the recent vacancy that has occurred and it is anticipated that the post will be filled in the near future.
