266 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children the ongoing delay in the completion of the manpower forum report; if there is serious disagreement with the Irish Medical Organisation; and the reason the organisation is not signing off the report. [10660/00]
The medical manpower forum is a major initiative to review the medical staffing in public hospitals. Membership of the forum is comprised of various interests within the medical profession. It is intended that the deliberations of the medical manpower forum will be arrived at unanimously. Accordingly, some further work is required, including discussions with the Irish Medical Organisation, in order to achieve a consensus.
