Ceist:

399 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will sanction a special class for children with autism and communication difficulties for the boys national school in Skibbereen, County Cork; and if he will confirm approval for the appointment of a teacher and classroom assistants. Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods):

I have asked my Department's inspectorate to investigate the provision of a special class in the school referred to by the Deputy. As soon as the inspectors report has been received and considered, my Department will be in touch with the school authorities.
