Written Answers. - Offshore Islands.
While this is primarily a matter for the Minister for the Environment and Local Govern ment, I have in the past provided a small amount of funding for the removal of old cars from islands. I recognise that this is a problem on the offshore islands and I would, therefore, be willing to look favourably on requests from the local authorities for small amounts of co-funding to assist in solving this problem.
