Ceist:58 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the position regarding the display of the national geological assets in Collins Barracks; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [10930/00]
Written Answers. - National Geological Collection.
I refer the Deputy to my reply of 3 June 1999 regarding this matter. As indicated in my previous reply the National Museum of Ireland intends to display the national geological material in a proposed new building in Collins Barracks which it is envisaged should be available to accommodate exhibitions in 2003. The proposed earth science gallery will allow for the proper public exhibition of elements of the national geological collection for the first time in the history of the State.
