168 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the progress, if any, made in setting up a working group between his Department and the health products alliance to examine ways to regulate the industry; and if he will expedite this process in view of the serious issues involved. I have personally met with the health products alliance recently to discuss the question of establishing a simplified interim national registration system for "traditional-use" medicinal products. I have asked the Irish Medicines Board to investigate the possibility of introducing such a system and my Department has had discussions with the board on the matter.
