544 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will make funding available to the board of management of Cornagee national school, Dowra, Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim, as a matter or urgency, to carry out extensive repairs on the school and school grounds. [12425/00]
I can confirm that my Department has received an application from the school in question for grant aid towards improvement works to the school. The Deputy will appreciate, however, that my Department has a large number of school building projects on hand at present. Within this constraint, I assure the Deputy that the application from the school in question is being dealt with as quickly as possible.
