550 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Education and Science the progress in providing an extension and other works at Coon School, County Kilkenny; the reason for the delay in agreeing the plans and starting the work. [12431/00]

Architectural planning for the project in question is proceeding as quickly as possible having regard to the large number of school building projects on hand within my Department.
