226 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science if a travel grant, approved in June 2000 for a person (details supplied), in County Kilkenny, will be approved again this year in view of the fact that their circumstances remain unchanged. [13784/00]
On the basis that the circumstances which gave rise to the payment of a transport grant in respect of the pupil in question have not changed, the payment of an annual transport grant by my Department will continue.
Application for payment of the grant in question is made to my Department at the end of each school year by the school principal. The level of grant is determined by the distance involved and the level of the pupil's attendance at school.
